Anxiety and Depression

Depression is hard to shake.

At this point, all you want to do is isolate yourself, which means not spending time with your children or interacting with your spouse or friends. Things you once enjoyed are no longer interesting, including your friends and going to the gym.

Spending time watching TV or sleeping a lot is all that you seem capable of doing each day. Laundry is piling up, the house is in disarray, and you are losing weight because of a loss of appetite, except for a sugar craving, which is not good for our well-being.

Even your health is impacted by bodily pain and headaches, making you take pain pills to offset the pain.

At this point, you are beginning to wonder why things have gotten so bad, making you feel like a worthless failure. You might find yourself crying for no reason and having negative thoughts about yourself.

These thoughts even make you wonder if harming yourself is the next step.

Unchecked, depression is like a bottomless pit, causing you to sink lower and lower.

Anxiety keeps you in a frenzy.

Your thoughts are scattered, and you struggle to rest and be still.

Interacting with others is a struggle because your thoughts are so distorted and keep racing through your mind, causing you to interrupt impulsively as others speak.

Physically, your chest is always tight, causing you to attend the ER several times due to feeling panicky or having an anxiety attack.

Although you focus on completing their tasks, nothing gets finished because tormenting thoughts keep interfering. Tiredness is a constant feeling. Therefore, you try to enhance functioning by drinking loads of coffee.

Anxiety and depression therapy

Therapy offers help for depression and anxiety.

Most therapists provide you with coping skills that don’t work, which keeps the depression and anxiety lingering around in your soul.

First of all, depression and anxiety are spirits. For my biblical people, the Bible symbolizes heaviness. So you have to know how to process the core wound of trauma or internal strife, which led to your depression or anxiety, and work on removing the spirit that is lingering with them.

Trauma and other underlying events are connected with depression and anxiety. If you were sad as a kid or uncertain about yourself, but never had a doorway to release, then it gets suppressed in your soul, and it bleeds out externally.

So what happens internally affects you externally. Therefore, we need to heal first, change the thoughts, and remove the spirit of heaviness from you.

Inner healing will play a role because it shows the wounds and trauma memories connected to the reasons for feeling depressed or anxious. We have to get to the root, which I am capable of doing by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit.
